Describe your game in a tweet.
Project: Singularity is all about working together and coordination with a bit of cheeky banter and “un-coordination” slipping its way in-between. Think “Battleblock Theatre” but with more puzzling, tighter levels, and a bit less bizarre.
What inspires you to make games?
It’s a mix of seeing where other developers succeeded in entertaining us and trying to pass that on to potential players by making something fun ourselves.
What’s the best thing about making a game?
Unexpected events. Watching players find absurd ways through levels is always a pleasant surprise, or a good laugh when they work out just how much they can annoy each other (arguably the key part of co-op games)!
What advice would you give to aspiring game makers?
Look at what your favourite games do and try to learn from them. Get a feel for why the good parts feel good and where they could improve. Making a game from scratch without experience is tricky but a lot of existing games might have the answers!
